Ice Cream Scoops

My favorite color is green...and I love to pair it with purple. The sketch over at Sketch Saturday is cute and easy to use.  I just flipped it on end to go better with the image I chose.
And this cute Digital Stamp from Bugaboo just went so well with my favorite colors. I colored her with Copic Markers, adding some Wink of Stella to Rather than using this die to create a dimensional frame, I created an inset frame--where the image is level with the frame. I'm really liking this look and have used a few times lately!the ice-cream.
The image frame is attached with dimensional foam tape, which is also being used to hold the image in the frame.

The sentiment was stamped with Memento black ink. I thought it went with the Ice Cream theme of the card.

Thanks so much for checking out my blog and don't forget to go check out the Sketch Saturday Challenge blog to see what the other Design Team girls came up with for this design!

Be your own kind of Beautiful

I made this cute card for the August Challenge at Scrap N' Dipity. The challenge was simply "Anything Goes", so I was able to use this card that I'd made previously but hadn't had a chance to blog about yet.

The image was colored using Copic markers. I then added Wink of Stella to the bee-wings. Topped the bee-wings and the honey-pot  with Accent Essentials.

The background was stenciled with Stampin Up Hello Honey--it seemed very appropriate! And a stencil that I got from Michaels--afraid I don't know the maker of that. All the ribbons are from my scrap-jar.

The inside was stamped with Versafine Black ink. "Be your Own Kind of Beautiful"

This is my first time blogging on ScrapN'Dipity in a couple of months, and I'm so glad to be able to share again. I'd love to hear from you--let me know what you think of the ribbon feature!

Stay Calm and Be Awesome!

I really like this image from Star Stampz, and like the general look of this card, but feel it isn't my best work.
Next project WILL BE better! (Note to self! LOL)

Please visit the Sketch Saturday Blog and see what some of the other girls came up with for Sketch #476, using digital stamps from our weekly sponsor, Star Stampz.

As a mother of boys, I just had to pick this adorable dragon and the scared knight image. But somehow that dragon seemed like she needed to be purple, pink, and teal--not very masculine! I colored the image using Copic Markers.

I added Wink of Stella to the knight's armor--but it had a bit of an issue and released a TON of glitter on the helmet. I did my best to move it around to the other metal bits, so it doesn't seem too bad.
I had wanted to use some Spectrum Glitter on the dragon, but those are still packed away, so I just used a gel pen to add in some details on her scales. Again, had a little bit of technical difficulties, but I think it will still work!
I didn't like the look of just covering the dragon's tail, or of having the "hill" below the tail...so I used an Exact-o blade to cut the lowest part of the dragon's tail, as well as the stick, so they could lay on top of the green hill.

I decided that I wanted to ink in some green grass and blue for the sky, so I had to mask the images. Cutting the masks was a pain in the butt! LOL I recently learned about Moloto Masking Pens, which would've made it a LOT easier, but didn't have time to get one before this project, so I just used Post it Tape. Then Stampin Up inks for the shading.

The sentiment is from a retired Stampin up set that just seemed perfect for this fearful knight! Finally, I added some green sprigs to add some interest to the grassy area.

I'd appreciate your comments, and to have you check out Sketch Saturday as well! If you make a card using their sketch, please share it here too!
