YOU BET!<br />
<br />
I have a video up on my <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzumcV320CqteAPsC-CKMag?view_as=subscriber" target="_blank">YouTube channel</a> today showing off the incredible December Flavor of the Month Card Kit, Animals of the Arctic!<br />
<br />
December’s kit is all about Arctic Animals…Now if you are
anything like me, you hate the cold weather, snow, and anything that
would mean being cold. However, snow and these cute little critters in
this kit are all about fun! So grab your warm beverage, sit back, and
hop along with us to see these adorable critters and all the inspiration
our designers have to share. Check out the <a href="https://scrappingforless.com/flavor-of-the-month/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Flavor of the Month page</a> to place your order if you haven’t subscribed. Also, don’t forget to check the <a href="https://scrappingforless.com/product-category/flavor-of-the-month-card-kit/a-la-carte/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">A La Carte</a>
items (items that are leftover (full packs and such) from putting the
kits together, and other items that we have on the website that may
coordinate with this kit. Make sure you also put your name in for that <a href="https://scrappingforless.com/blog/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Rafflecopter prize</a>!<br />
<br />
Ok, that's not entirely true for me! I actually much prefer the winter weather of the heat of a Mid-West Summer! YUCK! I can always put on another sweater when it's cold, but can only take off so many layers of clothes when it's hot before it becomes inappropriate! LOL<br />
<br />
So take a look at the cute cards I was able to come up with from this spectacular Kit!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMwoPfwTPKYuFkzPK7Oxvv4KpBo1tXKjNxf4UswmlJAzZIfepAflLACF3XMs-ie26M3kIsxb5j2tOMItFgi_NOfu_sW2dfkrGd4TMvVXayaMkrDGL_sglNI6mSrY0rf8gMm-3E7sbzdVQ/s1600/IMG_4045%255B1%255D.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMwoPfwTPKYuFkzPK7Oxvv4KpBo1tXKjNxf4UswmlJAzZIfepAflLACF3XMs-ie26M3kIsxb5j2tOMItFgi_NOfu_sW2dfkrGd4TMvVXayaMkrDGL_sglNI6mSrY0rf8gMm-3E7sbzdVQ/s400/IMG_4045%255B1%255D.HEIC" width="300" /></a><b>COLLECTION ONE:</b> Winter Skies paper by Scrapping for Less, included the Bear Hugs stamps from Sunny Studios. I needed to do a "Night Sky" card for a swap I'm in, and this seemed like the perfect stamp to use!<br />
<br />
The night sky was blended with Eggplant Envy from Stampin' Up!, and flicked with some white acrylic paint. Then I used the tiny snowflakes from the stamp set with Versamark and Nuvo Glacier White Fine Embossing Powder. (This is the same combination I used for the sentiment strip.) I hand cut the snow bank, adding Glacier White Stickles along the edge and cut the circle with the same circle die as the background.<br />
<br />
I colored the Polar Bear with Copic Markers: E50 & E51, with B32 & B34 for the scarf.<br />
<br />
The trusty stitched rectangle die was used on some of this beautiful paper from Scrapping for Less. The base mat was the back side of one of the sheets from this collection--and to save paper, I cut the scalloped circle from the same piece!<br />
<br />
For finishing touches, I snagged the large snowflake by Jolee from Collection number 4, and added 3 of the Sequens by Buttons Galore.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmlsVdftOsItXNnilQ4NQgTrYCEBtWwacwv0D_GuyF2WjOXVZsn-O9udGkBlz9PIn7dHjWyScdiJS0yTnrqIVBz0XS7SDEWNBGCnYj5kvQoJFl6xqFz5jLfuOiwvhAMc0BviY5x22IP8E/s1600/IMG_4041%255B1%255D.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmlsVdftOsItXNnilQ4NQgTrYCEBtWwacwv0D_GuyF2WjOXVZsn-O9udGkBlz9PIn7dHjWyScdiJS0yTnrqIVBz0XS7SDEWNBGCnYj5kvQoJFl6xqFz5jLfuOiwvhAMc0BviY5x22IP8E/s400/IMG_4041%255B1%255D.HEIC" width="300" /></a><b>COLLECTION TWO:</b> Included this FABULOUS Penguin with a Mug stamp from Stamping Bella and a paper collection called Chill from Scrapping for Less.<br />
<br />
The Copics I used for this image:<br />
Hat & Scarf: V12, V15, & V17<br />
Hat: BG45, BG49<br />
Mug: BG10 & BG00 <br />
Penguin: C7 & C9, and BG000<br />
Feet & Beak: Y32, Y35 & Y38<br />
Marshmellows: E50 & E51<br />
Shadows: BG000, N0 & N1<br />
<br />
I used the stippling method to make the scarf look all fuzzy!<br />
<br />
The purple card stocks were from the kit, but the teal card stocks came from me stash.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixYXIIrlU9BL3uBbPJT0qBR5fyMSAYzn_AUcGFWSnjD2QiABAJl1IoUN1kT5evZgQq-iO8dVZcxBkEPVaNan0f0KApNbEExkWyTEhiqyzfC3kU0hz1TGn9j1H66fZZUtulj7sS4kcg3G8/s1600/IMG_4042%255B1%255D.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixYXIIrlU9BL3uBbPJT0qBR5fyMSAYzn_AUcGFWSnjD2QiABAJl1IoUN1kT5evZgQq-iO8dVZcxBkEPVaNan0f0KApNbEExkWyTEhiqyzfC3kU0hz1TGn9j1H66fZZUtulj7sS4kcg3G8/s400/IMG_4042%255B1%255D.HEIC" width="300" /></a><br />
COLLECTION THREE: Had these lovely papers and adorable little stamps from Pink and Main. The stamps were a little tough to color since they were so very small. Because of that, I chose to color these images with my Prisma Colored Pencils, with some Wink of Stella on the now caps, and under the animals.<br />
<br />
Of course this image took a good amount of masking to get all those little images together, too!<br />
<br />
The sentiment is actually from the Arctic Sentiments stamp from the Banana Split collection, and was stamped with Versafine, embossed with Nuvo Clear Fine Embossing Powder.<br />
<br />
I used the grey craft paper to cut the little snowflake--which cut very clean, BTW. Then topped the snowflake with Stickles.<br />
<br />
Loving the stitched rectangle die with this kit, LOL!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1KrumfoPOfVB5AYwcco9yJpSRAXhr6Ys99tu3rrU6vGFVeH8r3cXn1X-iiQAArqM8W_awIhWYWxrDbpcjlzpbWZh0hwI5pzZAx2xxvVWlmUmxUxTFjBSSCcup37nrazCJUiuwgDqyOhw/s1600/IMG_4043.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1223" data-original-width="1600" height="305" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1KrumfoPOfVB5AYwcco9yJpSRAXhr6Ys99tu3rrU6vGFVeH8r3cXn1X-iiQAArqM8W_awIhWYWxrDbpcjlzpbWZh0hwI5pzZAx2xxvVWlmUmxUxTFjBSSCcup37nrazCJUiuwgDqyOhw/s400/IMG_4043.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>COLLECTION FOUR:</b> Is from LDRS with Artic Snowfall papers, and Arctic Animals stamp set. I am loving these adorable critters--especially these foxes!<br />
<br />
COPICS used:<br />
C0, C1 & C3 + R02<br />
B000 for Sky<br />
N1 for shadow, plus clear Wink of Stella<br />
<br />
The snowflakes are from the the garland--I just cut them apart.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj62useBEvU8F-Ct8nDX0HQg_lqmF7NCgQY40xswIcDs7358z_4cNxfvZa5uvufZ6Zcc7JlXVMloJomJWtQnKSzfBX3fXumzZWHpyZsGTBM5H9Lat4PDnruTrSpsXqvezO3HWYpEeEmG-8/s1600/IMG_4044%255B1%255D.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj62useBEvU8F-Ct8nDX0HQg_lqmF7NCgQY40xswIcDs7358z_4cNxfvZa5uvufZ6Zcc7JlXVMloJomJWtQnKSzfBX3fXumzZWHpyZsGTBM5H9Lat4PDnruTrSpsXqvezO3HWYpEeEmG-8/s400/IMG_4044%255B1%255D.HEIC" width="300" /></a><br />
<br />
I still wanted to use the Moose from the Arctic Sentiments stamp included in the <b>Banana Split Collection,</b> so I used some papers from my own stash to change up the colors a bit.<br />
<br />
COPICS Used:<br />
E50, E51, E53, E55, E57 & E59 + R02<br />
B000 for the sky<br />
YG11, YG13, & YG17 for the grass<br />
<br />
I really like the simplicity of this card! <br />

<br />
I chose to use this super vibrant paper with the Tucans on it, and pair it with the incredible Tucan die that came in the kit! The Tucan paper was too busy by itself so I cut a rectangle stitched die to cut a more subtle paper, matted on the dark green paper from the kit.<br />
<br />
<br />
I cut the die-cut 3 times, from black, red and yellow so I could inlay the different colors. I added clear Wink of Stella over the body of the bird to make it look more like feathers. Then I added clear Nuvo drops over the beak.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
For finishing touches, I added three rows of bright yellow ribbon behind the panel, and three yellow Nuvo Drops, as well as a simple sentiment on the grey paper from the kit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5Oq_gvF5cXfg7qx2hz5_xxXC9V4gZq0T6PNtfoPUTs30HVBur-kW-cICxdtl5wAGoXeJ5bt2kvQXdR5cNcHhtONkS04FWVoT_CX40P-9Z4z-ZIQzG67HWKLENXIc-_WCK_mxM8UaAxz4/s1600/IMG_E3449.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1436" data-original-width="1600" height="287" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5Oq_gvF5cXfg7qx2hz5_xxXC9V4gZq0T6PNtfoPUTs30HVBur-kW-cICxdtl5wAGoXeJ5bt2kvQXdR5cNcHhtONkS04FWVoT_CX40P-9Z4z-ZIQzG67HWKLENXIc-_WCK_mxM8UaAxz4/s320/IMG_E3449.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
The inside sentiment I printed on my computer--a saying from Winnie the Pooh: "Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think."<br />
<br />

The sponsor this week is <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/StarStampz" target="_blank">Star Stampz! </a>I absolutely loved this adorable stamp--even though its not the best for a card. And I REALLY couldn't make it small enough for an A2 card. I ended up making a 5 1/2 x 6 inch card, and even making it bigger I still had to use Prismacolor Pencils as my medium since I can sharpen those down real fine.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP8gZlbr-F7mRhyphenhyphenX1QV-KxJ_OmTGDrP4qoHInkRsgqz2zviHObaiiKPBA4jLqmHzciIfo43O6dOBuRvyjNycYH6IS5J52-pWsqABwiKllxbK0ECA0cc5bxjIaRSsl9hzwwuZQlrZzEtPE/s1600/IMG_3373.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1265" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP8gZlbr-F7mRhyphenhyphenX1QV-KxJ_OmTGDrP4qoHInkRsgqz2zviHObaiiKPBA4jLqmHzciIfo43O6dOBuRvyjNycYH6IS5J52-pWsqABwiKllxbK0ECA0cc5bxjIaRSsl9hzwwuZQlrZzEtPE/s640/IMG_3373.JPG" width="504" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
I used a ribbon in-place of the small strip on the left of the sketch, 3 Nuvo drops instead of the stitching, and decided to not include a sentiment.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIcqQJdcf13JDXyq7HMU9W09AcBW8085Szh3n3EEolvLhV7fmiL0UiN6LgKWtnKg9WqTBdp-h2r8hjWmXs42g8sitkrg50-FEZ1YBWsbYIi2hMSVfWBJyc7ElwqjpSktEdjMLd-MeMSqk/s1600/IMG_3374.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIcqQJdcf13JDXyq7HMU9W09AcBW8085Szh3n3EEolvLhV7fmiL0UiN6LgKWtnKg9WqTBdp-h2r8hjWmXs42g8sitkrg50-FEZ1YBWsbYIi2hMSVfWBJyc7ElwqjpSktEdjMLd-MeMSqk/s320/IMG_3374.JPG" width="240" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
I used a whole slew of colored pencils, there's no way I could list them all! On the larger areas--anywhere that had enough space that I could do, I used Gamsol to blend the colors. I also added some yellow Wink of Stella on the Elf's hair; Gel-roll on the eyes of the elf and the bunny, and a micron pen for her glasses and for the 2 birds. I also used a red micron pen for the berries on the bush, and a white uni-ball on the elf's wings.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I left the inside of the card blank so I can add a specific sentiment later if I'd like, or just leave it blank.<br />
<br />

Sketch #508 was super simple for me, and I love the way it turned out, using this adorable image from <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/KittyBeeDesign?ref=l2-shopheader-name" target="_blank">Kitty Bee Designs</a>.<br />

The black stripe in the middle is from a scrap of black card stock, probably also from Hobby Lobby! The Yellow hexagon piece is a Recollections, and actually was a only 3 3/4 inches rather than the 4 that I needed, so I cut it down the middle and was able to cover that with the black strip--Viola!! </div>

The blog is sponsored by <a href="http://stamps.the-papernest.com/" target="_blank">Paper Nest Dolls</a>, and I love their adorable images, so the hardest part about this week's challenge was picking my paper and colors!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb1VTor04aelxvhp7Mo1TdZxZgtsOqW0Xk0SmBt_qsRFaPXedzRphLAbnA5GNfYrl28YWhPmaUirdub7s7NvW4Tzu-yGPjfJ9CWqZzzlOSN2YJ4CrhNSo-iqjeSObBMmvu09tcZUethmM/s1600/IMG_3262.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1307" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb1VTor04aelxvhp7Mo1TdZxZgtsOqW0Xk0SmBt_qsRFaPXedzRphLAbnA5GNfYrl28YWhPmaUirdub7s7NvW4Tzu-yGPjfJ9CWqZzzlOSN2YJ4CrhNSo-iqjeSObBMmvu09tcZUethmM/s640/IMG_3262.jpg" width="522" /></a></div>
<br />
After choosing my image, I then went looking for the paper I wanted to use, so I could match the coloring to the paper. I chose another piece from the DCWV Fresh Floral Paper Stack.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmZ8_L6ibmqgRWFg83pONQ1PkHTuk2oiESwDSBSkBBlFd1Jyy1YHZJSLIydr1OSWLr4OIBW3lGUWUzjXWVGkr3FknEqLuVrR7ZyHT9NaMXtCJZ4JOC9nY90F1XKfxp4O-m7IxOnC2JN_o/s1600/506.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="264" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmZ8_L6ibmqgRWFg83pONQ1PkHTuk2oiESwDSBSkBBlFd1Jyy1YHZJSLIydr1OSWLr4OIBW3lGUWUzjXWVGkr3FknEqLuVrR7ZyHT9NaMXtCJZ4JOC9nY90F1XKfxp4O-m7IxOnC2JN_o/s1600/506.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
Since this was my own sketch design, I didn't feel the need to alter it too much! I just chose to change the sentiment strip into a ribbon and have no sentiment on the cover of this card.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
Rain coat & Boots: YG17, YG13, & YR18<br />
Duckling: Y21, Y15 & YR07, YR04<br />
Skin: E02, E00, E000<br />
Hair: YR23, YR21, Y15<br />
Shading: N3, N1 & BG10 for the outline<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I cut the image panel with a stitched rectangle die, and matted it on a light colored green card stock--I did cut the top and left side of the panel off to make it look right fit into the corner like it was.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVB0p8TJaZ_mpHCG2WQk4YVhgk3SnMUlAuNJhY_Rs7xvGBoEsfkCsyUAPx-DSSPvCO4jCNkpOXrbb2zWqllmQcUEg3P3I3Xd6yX8Foe5-ltV5KgeQw1y3jTMJWTrbxth_rcwjkueWDn2c/s1600/IMG_3264-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1306" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVB0p8TJaZ_mpHCG2WQk4YVhgk3SnMUlAuNJhY_Rs7xvGBoEsfkCsyUAPx-DSSPvCO4jCNkpOXrbb2zWqllmQcUEg3P3I3Xd6yX8Foe5-ltV5KgeQw1y3jTMJWTrbxth_rcwjkueWDn2c/s320/IMG_3264-1.jpg" width="261" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The card base was printed on my printer and reads "Rainy days are just an opportunity to dance in puddles".<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
For finishing touches I of course added the orange ribbon and bow. The image panel was raised on fun-foam, and I added "rain-drops" with Sea Breeze Nuvo Jewel Drops.<br />

This means I will be receiving the lovely card kits that Lizi creates each month!! I will not be required to make the 10 Cards/1 Kit video, but to make the cards and create related blogs. I will probably still make the videos! But please keep an eye here for upcoming blog posts including the <a href="https://www.lovefromlizi.com/" target="_blank">Love From Lizi Card Kits</a>!!<br />
<br />
For my first post for <a href="https://www.lovefromlizi.com/" target="_blank">Love From Lizi</a>, I have made almost 20 cards with the February Card kit!! I'm going to start with the first 10 cards, which I made a Reveal Video for, which you can watch on my <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzumcV320CqteAPsC-CKMag?view_as=subscriber" target="_blank">YouTube channel</a>.<br />

<br />
<br />
The paper I used for the base of this card was my absolute favorite! Paired with the green Love Wreath and Everyday sticker, then matting done with the yellow and pink card stock from the kit. I added hot-pink embroidery floss from my stash and finished with sequins from the kit.<br />
<br />

Paired that with the yellow-heart paper, all matted on hot pink to make them stand out. Hot-pink embroidery floss again, hand stitched across the top and finished with a few more sequins from the kit, matted on pink, and placed on a top-folding card base!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The next one I make, I like so much, that I made a second one very similar to the first! I loved the way the cupcake paper matched with the cupcake on the chalk-board piece. I used some yellow Stickles to accentuate the candles on the cake piece.</div>

The majority of these balloons were cut with a Stampin Up punch. I colored the white Happy Birthday sticker to match...however, I don't like the way it looked. Oh well! The balloons with the numbers were stamped with Stampin Up ink, then embossed in white with Lizi's stamps.<br />

I really liked this pink champagne bubble paper and thought the banner dies would be a great use of some of the scraps of paper. I also used the Happy Birthday die from the kit for the sentiment. I just didn't like the way the banners looked. Again, you live and learn--or in this case, CRAFT and learn! LOL<br />

The sky was created using a stencil cut from cardstock with a cloud die, then brushing Broken China Distress Oxide Ink with ClarityStamp Blending Brushes--the BG10 matched the Broken China perfectly. I don't yet have a Distress Ink for grass, so I used Sweet Leaf from Close to My Heart. </div>

I used my ScanN Cut to cut the egg shapes, since I don't have dies. (I also used the SNC to cut the mask for the image so I could blend the background.) I used fun-foam to lift the egg-shaped panel and give space for the pretty pink ribbon to lay behind it. The Pattern paper is from the Fresh Floral Stack from DCWV.</div>

As usual, I chose to print my card base as this gives me unlimited options on sentiments! I kept this fairly simple and non-descript so it can be sent to a variety of recipients.<br />
I'm sure the other DT members have some great card-inspiration to share as well, so be sure to head over to <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday</a>, and join the fun!<br />

Both bees were also topped with some Wink of Stella and Accent Essentials. The background was sponged with Broken China Distress Oxide ink.</span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This adorable image is from <a href="http://www.adayfordaisies.com/" target="_blank">A Day For Daisies</a>, and colored with Copic Markers. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Face: E33, E31 R20</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Quills: W1, W3, W5, W7</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hearts: RV13, R20, R17, R29</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was able to get the color difference on the face by simply avoiding the heart shaped area while coloring the rest, with a couple of layers, then went over the whole area once. I also touched up the eyes with Pilot V5 pen. I did color just a little bit of a shadow under the little guy with N1 then faded it with a Blender pen. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut the white circle (printed on Hobby Lobby Heavy Weight White cardstock) with a circle die, and the lace-scalloped circle from pink. This layered design piece was raised on a piece of fun foam. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The papers I found in the Pebbles "Yours Truly" 6x6 paper pad that I found at Tuesday Morning for $3!! The darker pink base layer, and the pink used for the scallop circle and edging were both scraps I've had in my bin for way too long to admit! The DSP base totals 4 x 5-1/4" with the darker pink base being 1/4" larger (giving an 1/8" mat all around.) The pink scallop edge was cut with a die...I believe from Paper Smooches. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used my Cricut Explore and a Uniball Signo White Gel pen on black card stock (Recollections brand) to create the title banner. I cut and layered this twice to give it extra stability. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I liked this sentiment from a Concord and 9th "Stuck on You", but I didn't have the set, and didn't want to wait for it to come! So I just printed it on the inside of the card base with the printer.</div>

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">It's been a rough couple of months around here...I got laid off from work, and while I knew it was coming, it came a lot sooner and lasted a lot longer than I'd anticipated. This took a good deal of money out of our budget, making Christmas really hard. Now, my whole family caught the flu and have been moping around for the last week. And of course, all of this only added to my own emotional distress, bringing me way down. As I've entered "The Change of Life" my hormones have changed and my usual antidepressant medication has started working less and less. One of the reasons I make cards is to stave off the depression and keep myself busy. I share all of this because I know others suffer with this same affliction, and in my experience, knowing that others are struggling on the same path can sometimes make our own journey just a little bit easier. If you know of The Darkness, I'd love to learn if your crafts, and hearing from others helps you!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">BUT--I'm moving on!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">And I actually followed the sketch pretty darn closely, for once!</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4Q_27pYmueWvq4GY_jmx7dexf4RC5rRXiBncHBk3OtdVTzZSi46Ar_ELoKet6toXi2SHS6WcNjcD3zeJLp1YjluaIIs_1KhjY5I_7XAAcvBfCQcihLNi90LM61hFAYHNqjxDmjvByfik/s1600/IMG_2989.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="786" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4Q_27pYmueWvq4GY_jmx7dexf4RC5rRXiBncHBk3OtdVTzZSi46Ar_ELoKet6toXi2SHS6WcNjcD3zeJLp1YjluaIIs_1KhjY5I_7XAAcvBfCQcihLNi90LM61hFAYHNqjxDmjvByfik/s320/IMG_2989.JPG" width="157" /></a> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> I knew I wanted to use this specific piece of plaid paper from my Scrap Drawer, so tried to color the image so it wouldn't clash! Blue Birds and Poppies were some of my mother's favorites, so I kind of got inspired by that idea in my coloring. All the coloring was done with Copic markers, except the darkest shadowing of brown, which was done with a Spectrum Noir, because I didn't have a dark enough brown for the look I was going for! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Bird House: G02, G05, G09, (hole): C9, W7, W5</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Bird: B12, B21, YR18, (beak): E74</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Flowers: R27, R29 / Leaves: YG03, YG06, YG25</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Roof and Pole: E37, SN-EB5</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Grass: YG17 / Outline: B000</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The card did seem awfully plain, so I at least added some Spectrum Glitter pen to the bird house to add just a bit of shimmer. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The sentiment is from an old rubber stamp set in my stash that I have no idea where it came from or who made it! LOL</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I used Fun-Foam behind the design piece then placed it on a mat that matched the mat behind the main plaid DSP. I cut both the smaller mat and the DSP with a stitched rectangle die. The smaller die was not long enough for the design piece so I had to leave the end hanging off the cutting plate, then move it and cut the other end...this is a method I learned from the ingenious Jennifer McGuire!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I also added a light edging of Stampin Up "Pool Party" ink around the edge of the plaid DSP. In retrospect, I wish I had added the same distressing around the white design piece, as well...but once it was down, I didn't want to chance ripping things by pulling it up to add this. So there it is! LOL</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This adorable girl is from Craftsy Sentiment Designs and goes great for the sketch design this week on <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday</a>. I absolutely LOVE the bright striped tights!</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV6G2nKzmW1QsLpGEwYUTNZA-AzzV43-xaGE96d-rRQjfdf5HNsft-5_XcHTswVWlrcY5hzdm18rgW2g5wdStA-jgqxNzakSwZoQc1QkhTtpnPm0cfCnJN8R7h9Iq_aIQlnJjmFzE3_h4/s1600/490.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="264" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV6G2nKzmW1QsLpGEwYUTNZA-AzzV43-xaGE96d-rRQjfdf5HNsft-5_XcHTswVWlrcY5hzdm18rgW2g5wdStA-jgqxNzakSwZoQc1QkhTtpnPm0cfCnJN8R7h9Iq_aIQlnJjmFzE3_h4/s1600/490.png" /></a>Of course I tweaked the sketch a little--I didn't use the strip behind the oval, as it just seemed like too much. And I let the oval hang off the side, because, well, it just looked better with my pieces! </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLTU0sNfGie78iv6EBKKOFK-o0W1JLFkM5poOdtVngPzmIkVzEw1_d1J-UYBx-sZzVjqvW4MTkRM9LjFIBWDlgGxyB5mL4wjxDYQdGJgBqfnXHaKjzm-xSKicRebt64aBvk2Jr_jWxMJk/s1600/IMG_2851.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1241" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLTU0sNfGie78iv6EBKKOFK-o0W1JLFkM5poOdtVngPzmIkVzEw1_d1J-UYBx-sZzVjqvW4MTkRM9LjFIBWDlgGxyB5mL4wjxDYQdGJgBqfnXHaKjzm-xSKicRebt64aBvk2Jr_jWxMJk/s320/IMG_2851.jpg" width="248" /></a>I colored the image with Copics, outlining with BG10. Then used Pool Party from Stampin Up to do some light distressing around the edges. The snowflakes were covered with Wink of Stella and raised with layers of fun-foam. I also added some Simply White Crystal Nuvo Drops around on the snowflakes for dimension.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also chose to off-set the panel to the bottom right, rather than centered. Somehow this just looked better! I love how nice and simple this card ended up being. I did leave the inside blank so I could add a more specific message when I'm ready to send the card.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks so much for stopping by and of course, head over to <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday</a> to see what the other designers came up with for this sketch!</div>

For this card, I made a mistake when I was ordering my stamp--I forgot that the blog post would actually be posted AFTER Halloween! I would've chosen a different image if I had remember that! But, I decided that I could still use this owl, and just make it a nice Autumn Card. As you can see, I took a bit of liberty with the sketch for today at <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday</a>. <br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE3Bo75muvP7mhECz4EBGRhWF7t-TbDcXCmOQSc-D-ZPLQbXNc6oLEXKevcIXwwoFU-YcS0zU3ezfdjvdFJ_JoSr6KpYuo3H8nKnPftNtxbAhkMyIOxoGMhOxoGo6Sf3hunC-7iBDGyXU/s1600/488.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="264" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE3Bo75muvP7mhECz4EBGRhWF7t-TbDcXCmOQSc-D-ZPLQbXNc6oLEXKevcIXwwoFU-YcS0zU3ezfdjvdFJ_JoSr6KpYuo3H8nKnPftNtxbAhkMyIOxoGMhOxoGo6Sf3hunC-7iBDGyXU/s1600/488.png" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
I made the owl on the branch represent the white panel on the sketch. Instead of the Moon that I'd originally planned, I made the star be a sun trying to glow through the chill Autumn Sunset.<br />
<br />
The cute Owl on a Branch image is from <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/208271748/digital-stamp-owl-on-branch-autumn-digi?ref=shop_home_active_5" target="_blank">Lemon Shortbread designs</a>. I colored it with Copic Markers. I made it's eyes a brighter black using a black Micron pen then topped them with Accent Essentials.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcCkF6ZykoZE1J6PUF5ttbv8HyE6t0K7bIm_obFI_c7hD-hJHh0P7KNFoedOQlIHcvvB4PHOa3kUEzk7_Plogli0H4d7B6Wji4DPyTz3KtEqImPqChDEv9qg8bfwN3wrc-HW_pIrGktfA/s1600/DSC04938+%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="726" data-original-width="890" height="261" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcCkF6ZykoZE1J6PUF5ttbv8HyE6t0K7bIm_obFI_c7hD-hJHh0P7KNFoedOQlIHcvvB4PHOa3kUEzk7_Plogli0H4d7B6Wji4DPyTz3KtEqImPqChDEv9qg8bfwN3wrc-HW_pIrGktfA/s320/DSC04938+%25282%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br /> I covered the image with Masking Glue so I could blend the inks for the sunset all around it. I started by lightly covering the whole background with YoYo Yellow (retired SU!) then placed a circle of mask-paper where I wanted the sun. I followed with So Saffron (retired SU!) and Vintage Photo (Distress Ink) mostly along the top bit. I did add a bit of Certainly Celery (retired SU!) particularly along the bottom, because I always feel that the light is just a bit greenish in Autumn!<br />
<br />

<br />
The sequins are all from sets I purchased from Amazon. The sentiment was from a Paper Smooches stamp set, stamped with Versafine brown and heat embossed with clear powder. I cut the frame with a die and put 2 layers of foam tape behind the acetate. The interior message was from the same Paper Smooches stamp set and the brown Versafine ink.<br />
<br />

I really enjoyed making this shaker card! Please be sure to check out the other examples made by the great DT at the <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog</a>! <br />

Bestie's deserve extra special cards!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyRRCys4zi3Z4oeSXzFT2T9xfiX0pHnvR_QW1rGiCrwWoRR0nN7AhX5_wTxXiAT4bH5gMn4DNsxvTvPvPivcUjLClpABfe_8liGexZVsgEuW9KTzo4Qk6Xg6G1YEYrsVkAGky4RXkWH50/s1600/Birthday+Card1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1274" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyRRCys4zi3Z4oeSXzFT2T9xfiX0pHnvR_QW1rGiCrwWoRR0nN7AhX5_wTxXiAT4bH5gMn4DNsxvTvPvPivcUjLClpABfe_8liGexZVsgEuW9KTzo4Qk6Xg6G1YEYrsVkAGky4RXkWH50/s640/Birthday+Card1.jpg" width="508" /></a></div>
I'd purchased this gorgeous stamp set from a company whose name I promptly forgot! I used VersaMark to stamp the 2 parts of the image on the top and the bottom of a 5" x 6.5" white panel, then heat embossed with gold.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPbAGwvMLP70Qe9e10PU2BioriLTxKYTqNQY8R_GZj35WhK09zAUlN0ZzRvXtFv15Jrs6MOHCkQx5fbN96KVWsbmlrzggywW0L_GcrZ7IefwBD8KM1l6Gva-80JUjVUVdOlNkhLbU94Y8/s1600/Birthday+Card2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1132" data-original-width="1267" height="285" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPbAGwvMLP70Qe9e10PU2BioriLTxKYTqNQY8R_GZj35WhK09zAUlN0ZzRvXtFv15Jrs6MOHCkQx5fbN96KVWsbmlrzggywW0L_GcrZ7IefwBD8KM1l6Gva-80JUjVUVdOlNkhLbU94Y8/s320/Birthday+Card2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I used my sponge blenders to apply Dusty Concord Distressed ink, followed by Island Indigo and Taken with Teal Stampin Up inks.The purple is hard to see in the pictures, but is at the top left and the lower right. The Taken with Teal is mostly in the middle area with the lightest area being where I wanted to put my sentiment.<br />
<br />
The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions, and was also done with VersaMark and Gold embossing powder. It seemed like there was just too much open space in the middle, so I took my Ranger Clear Embossing Pen and put some dots around where it seemed appropriate and embossed those as well.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP0ZYKfwoQb2b8iA13NIBVZVDYaZXqPxt33_JFmWgTag2A28yoynoRQvQlnW_g1lA3Clgz2u3HFxNM8-_s4TK4whVSY7EZX8hluz7h1ZRE5JdryRxWv5DntZ8WUg2ta3hyphenhyphenzTlWNuJZXyI/s1600/Birthday+Card+Inside.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1356" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP0ZYKfwoQb2b8iA13NIBVZVDYaZXqPxt33_JFmWgTag2A28yoynoRQvQlnW_g1lA3Clgz2u3HFxNM8-_s4TK4whVSY7EZX8hluz7h1ZRE5JdryRxWv5DntZ8WUg2ta3hyphenhyphenzTlWNuJZXyI/s320/Birthday+Card+Inside.jpg" width="271" /></a><br />
<br />
I cut the panel to 4.75" x 6.25" and then cut a new panel to the original size. The edges of this new base panel were embossed with the VersaMark and gold embossing powder so it matched the design perfectly! I mounted the colored panel on Fun-foam then onto the gold-edged base panel, all adhered onto a white card-base.<br />
<br />
Then I opened the card and realized it was way to plain!! So the sentiment was also Gold Embossed, with just the top portion of the smaller frame piece being embossed along the bottom. I used the same colors to add a lighter blending to the bottom of the inside of the card!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I wanted to decorate the envelope to match but the frame wasn't wide enough to cover the whole of the envelope on the wide side. So I fussed with inking all but the last portion, then moved the stamp and inked the last portion and a little more to fill the full width. To make the break seem not as obvious, I used my Embossing Pen again to add some dots and a flourish. And of course the same process of color blending on the envelope! I addressed the envelope using a Gold Uniball pen....before I remembered to take a picture of it. So, I'm not going to show it--but it was lovely!<br />
<br />
Thanks so much for checking out my work and I'll hope to have you visit again soon!<br />

<br />
One of my scrap drawers was so overflowing that I couldn't close it any more! So I had to make some scrap cards! One of the designs I came up with was inspired by this <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLQKL8ikiJE" target="_blank">MayMay Made It YouTube</a> video. There are lots of other similar designs around on Pinterest.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8SlPmBQ4ev02MxxVgcqtd0QeR-HIFmNxdj9wkffZsOAUBBNwfR_Eb7uuvkPMWv8FfSisJOZkMiQocfkR9bYTyFmf6aK51uuQZs0SiVCvEC0ceBCpLXFPkrhJdjwSM4WvSpNp1OwZ0Nm0/s1600/DSC04936.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1469" data-original-width="1218" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8SlPmBQ4ev02MxxVgcqtd0QeR-HIFmNxdj9wkffZsOAUBBNwfR_Eb7uuvkPMWv8FfSisJOZkMiQocfkR9bYTyFmf6aK51uuQZs0SiVCvEC0ceBCpLXFPkrhJdjwSM4WvSpNp1OwZ0Nm0/s320/DSC04936.JPG" width="265" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I had also seen <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzdyG6S_SH0&list=PLQ7Qz9OCzN5AKGAGoQTwFUSqXSnFM7kj3" target="_blank">this video from Jennifer McGuire</a>, and made some Rainbow Cards with a slightly different design. On these cards, I die-cut the word "hello" 4 times from black scraps then topped it with Accent Essentials. The Friend stamp was stamped with VersaFine Black and heat embossed with clear powder. This design requires more long pieces.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6KdLb39hj6d4bTZefZyOlsbXkp6qjScv9JpwiKDup1P3KnvN2vgofkUAHQK8iqLWVpr0I7YSyFKFxGeo0StEB7IYBT-2_p2WVCk4-19ePDmR2kFac3VOBnYp0LOulwzEb_09o2BWMDgY/s1600/DSC04934.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1501" data-original-width="1259" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6KdLb39hj6d4bTZefZyOlsbXkp6qjScv9JpwiKDup1P3KnvN2vgofkUAHQK8iqLWVpr0I7YSyFKFxGeo0StEB7IYBT-2_p2WVCk4-19ePDmR2kFac3VOBnYp0LOulwzEb_09o2BWMDgY/s320/DSC04934.JPG" width="268" /></a><br />
<br />
When I finished 4 of the Purple Monochromatic cards, I still had a few smaller pieces left over, which I couldn't stand to throw away. So I cut a piece of 2.5 x2.5 inch white square and did the same mosaic design on this smaller piece. I cut a dark purple background with the wonky-stitch rectangle. The sentiment piece was distressed with Perfect Plum, which just made it stand out better. Even though this card was actually just to use up the last little pieces, and was a total after-thought, I think this one ended up being my favorite! LOL<br />
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC4Fhy_cFlbX4UcAYj826tAK4wEYzloLAqvH_wjnzzXW-DGAIvsiS9n08MT_vVPWqMwvkY16J01B5cLKl8Xx1QAZJ3xUCyW4hXON-8lgStyh5EPgn-UslGGu5932fOJx7Vis5FPpvlFyI/s1600/DSC04935.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1244" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC4Fhy_cFlbX4UcAYj826tAK4wEYzloLAqvH_wjnzzXW-DGAIvsiS9n08MT_vVPWqMwvkY16J01B5cLKl8Xx1QAZJ3xUCyW4hXON-8lgStyh5EPgn-UslGGu5932fOJx7Vis5FPpvlFyI/s320/DSC04935.JPG" width="248" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I was working to make a bunch of "hang-in there" style cards, so I just printed this sentiment on my 8.5" x 11" card stock numerous times and cut in half to make my card bases. I ended up with 8 of the Rainbow cards, and 5 of the Purple monochromatic cards. <br />

These cute Kitties are from <a href="http://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/olivia-archie-playing-p-605.html" target="_blank">Digi Stamp Boutique--they're called Olivia and Archie</a>! They are so stinkin adorable! I wanted to make them fall, so my colors are all in that mind set. The card design is for Sketch # 486 on the <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Saturday Sketch Challenge</a>.</div>

For the leaves, I knew I wanted this vague color pattern. So I used the "smooshing method" where I rubbed some Distress Inks onto an acrylic block, sprayed it with water then smooshed the block onto water paper. Rather than fussing with trying to get the thick water color paper to go through my printer, I simply cut the leaf-bunches off one of my extra print-outs then used that as a template to cut out the colored pieces of water-color paper.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8EpThpukEMkC2Pd495yjbEQfmRco95cI2kuseSJ2TX_c1sgwIlq5fDqWlXrt5MLKtxTuOvl3xu-XMpKNKvZ3AWUQq8YpbboavuOHzSkcG-cRwKVbjgpDYO4eriYL19-2JLGXlycEQnP4/s1600/DSC04926.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1065" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8EpThpukEMkC2Pd495yjbEQfmRco95cI2kuseSJ2TX_c1sgwIlq5fDqWlXrt5MLKtxTuOvl3xu-XMpKNKvZ3AWUQq8YpbboavuOHzSkcG-cRwKVbjgpDYO4eriYL19-2JLGXlycEQnP4/s320/DSC04926.JPG" width="320" /></a> I ended up with extra of the colored water-color paper, so used a die-cut to cut out the little leaves to use as the corner embellishment, along with some thick thread. The background paper, and the sentiment are both from a super cute paper pad that I found in the Hot Buy section at Michaels! </div>
<br />
Of course, all the edges were distressed with Linen or Vintage Photo Distress Ink.<br />

Today is Sketch #484 on the <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday Challenge blog</a> which is similar to a previous sketch, in that it has 3 circles. For the previous sketch I made the mistake of feeling like I needed to make sure the circles were incorporated in my design. This time, I allowed the stamp-images to represent the circles in the sketch, and I like the result ever so much better!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJwym9UucVC7whU0-m30NkQ3-vj-Bv_XwaGSN2A8138R_ZyVrDm4okPIO_8kTI82XheSbiDOR_JanoWMsi0vVD5nQQE2g2oUA2FwAxbbn8pjeg03hCUpBee5wbWzEPuyeRYCV2G3eNhOE/s1600/484.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="264" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJwym9UucVC7whU0-m30NkQ3-vj-Bv_XwaGSN2A8138R_ZyVrDm4okPIO_8kTI82XheSbiDOR_JanoWMsi0vVD5nQQE2g2oUA2FwAxbbn8pjeg03hCUpBee5wbWzEPuyeRYCV2G3eNhOE/s1600/484.png" /></a></div>
<br />
I purchased two new "hot" items for this design and want to give a short review of each as well.<br />
<br />
1) <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Ranger-Tim-Holtz-Distress-Oxide/dp/B073BNQ684/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1507393270&sr=8-7&keywords=distress+oxide+inks" target="_blank">Distress Oxide inks</a>: 5 stars! I used these for the background to make the water. They were vibrant and easy to blend--as advertised! I think adding the water sprinkles really added to the effect. I used Cracked China over the whole back ground, then Salty Ocean for a small strip on the left, and the majority of the right--thus creating a lighter area near the left to represent the strip in the sketch, and to look like a ray of sun filtering through the water.<br />
<br />
2) <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Claritystamps-Clarity-Stencil-Brushes-Pack/dp/B01ICZ931Q/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1507393343&sr=8-1&keywords=claritystamp+stencil+brushes" target="_blank">Claritystamp Brushes</a>: 3 stars. I had a hard time getting these to do more than a VERY subtle background. For this project I ended up using my foam blenders instead. I did use the Clarity Brushes for another project--a simple masked hill and sky scene, and they worked fairly well for that, as I DID what the sky to be subtle. But they still left brush marks more than I had expected. They just aren't the "magic blending tool" that I felt people were saying they were. Still good, but definitely not great--I think I'm going to try the Nuvo brushes as they look like they might be more useful to me with their more snub-ends. They currently seem to be sold out EVERYWHERE, but I'll let you know what I think once I can get my hands on them!<br />

I printed all my images on Paper Studios Heavy Weight card stock. This paper is thicker than their standard card stock but not as thick as the Michael's HW--which doesn't like to process through my printer.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I also like this weight for my card bases, as it again is thick, but not too much so. I chose to just print a bunch of the images randomly on a page and practice coloring, then fussy cut the ones that I liked the best. These were all colored with Copics and highlighted with some Wink of Stella. I glued the cut images to the background using Ranger Multi-Medium Matte.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpdnnEVAnxt6xKdlqMBtsVjR9Hed76X7A0RiebO2XWxruDsjfYqKipDPKYJIxrqn2xmnYAvJ6NYm50QzO62yU0A_XWb691XRShLfYfDA6TSqu9D14kgSPrNh5qfBXaE4rrdJOU2SJtr5U/s1600/Enchanted+Greetings+from+the+Deep+%25285%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="162" data-original-width="435" height="119" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpdnnEVAnxt6xKdlqMBtsVjR9Hed76X7A0RiebO2XWxruDsjfYqKipDPKYJIxrqn2xmnYAvJ6NYm50QzO62yU0A_XWb691XRShLfYfDA6TSqu9D14kgSPrNh5qfBXaE4rrdJOU2SJtr5U/s320/Enchanted+Greetings+from+the+Deep+%25285%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a>The sentiment is from LLDS "Vintage Sentiments"; stamped with a white ink and heat embossed with a Pearl embossing powder.<br />
<br />
To finish off the card, I added a few drops of Accent Essentials to look like bubbles. I did leave the inside of the card blank so I can add a sentiment later that is specific for the recipient.<br />

<br />
Today, I'm playing along with the <a href="http://www.cardchallenges.com/search/label/sketchchallenge" target="_blank">My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge</a> again. As soon as I saw this design, I knew I wanted to use it and that I wanted to make the circle a "moon" of some sort! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJvG-jHjPjSwT9tawfUBUIUgvZmZoNVehi14u9gSO0xccigxhJz6n7_dJhIfj9vNZ7HG73QbZJNtSSm5-X_nVZHx1BxhRIgw26q86lCAu0GFA1QnVVoSLH1qfw49yy1PU8nQucYmu0x3A/s1600/MFT_WSC_352.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="398" data-original-width="500" height="254" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJvG-jHjPjSwT9tawfUBUIUgvZmZoNVehi14u9gSO0xccigxhJz6n7_dJhIfj9vNZ7HG73QbZJNtSSm5-X_nVZHx1BxhRIgw26q86lCAu0GFA1QnVVoSLH1qfw49yy1PU8nQucYmu0x3A/s320/MFT_WSC_352.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I did make the circle much smaller than in the image, and my line across the back is very subtle--just a lighter shade in the Universe background. And obviously I did not include the center rectangle.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi93Qg9DgXQ9cuB3QL2Mg-pO_jbKhyphenhyphenvbmMPboJpu4s2AUytLuh0jLQSz09sHBBOhTquhOlh4DMLPIoe-Z8uFJPnoJNTVr1bdBzE_J3A7CfgeuI8sXJ5gU7nXYT9WP9P5zdSDqChcI0CWd8/s1600/Over+the+Moon+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi93Qg9DgXQ9cuB3QL2Mg-pO_jbKhyphenhyphenvbmMPboJpu4s2AUytLuh0jLQSz09sHBBOhTquhOlh4DMLPIoe-Z8uFJPnoJNTVr1bdBzE_J3A7CfgeuI8sXJ5gU7nXYT9WP9P5zdSDqChcI0CWd8/s320/Over+the+Moon+3.JPG" width="240" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
The images are colored with Copics, then fussy cut. I loved the look of the white gel-pen accents on the helmet to make it look like it was glass!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
The fun thing about this card: The Astronaut moves! <br />
<br />
He has just a little bit of movement all around. I saw this technique in a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enjbQ4HnpUo" target="_blank">Jennifer McGuire</a> YouTube video--thank you Jennifer McGuire!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I tethered the astronaut to his space-ship with a piece of white crochet thread. This keeps him from flipping around TOO much! <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
My design only loosely follows the sketch, but I was definitely INSPIRED by the Sketch! I hope that counts! LOL Thanks so much for visiting, and I would love to hear from you!<br />

<br />
I'm playing along with the Sketch Challenge over at <a href="http://www.cardchallenges.com/search/label/sketchchallenge" target="_blank">My Favorite Things</a>. I'm not 100% pleased with the end result--I was hoping that my new Claritystamp Brushes would arrive in time to remake it, but they did not, so I'm going with what I have! <br />

<br />
I had these 2 dragons stamped for a while and just hadn't gotten around to coloring and using them. This seemed like the perfect time! I colored them with my Copics, then added Wink of Stella to the wings.<br />

<br />
My Brother Scan N Cut is still packed, so I actually fussy cut them both out. The purple one, I attached with Matte Medium, and the flying green dragon with foam tape. I found the little flowers in a Stampin Up set and like the way they just add a little more color and interest.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The sky was inked with a Stampabilities Pigment ink cube and a sponge blender--this is where I think the brushes would have done a much better job! The green was blended with an older Stampin Up ink of Green Galore, and also blended with a sponge. For the hill I used post-it tape--it's my favorite thing to mask with!<br />

<br />

<br />
I had a great time coloring this bright, bold <a href="http://fred-she-said-store.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">image</a> with the fall colors. I think it's one of my favorite colored images so far--the colors are just look so vibrant, and I'm very pleased with the shading I was able to accomplish.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I followed this great sketch over at <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog</a>, and I think it worked perfectly for this image from <a href="http://fred-she-said-store.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Fred She Said</a>. I did go with a circle rather than square as in the original design--with the round pumpkins, and round flowers, both in the image and on the background DSP, (from a paper pad from Paper Studios, BTW) a circle just seemed more appropriate.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
While I love both my Cricut and my Scan N Cut, I am completely addicted to using shape-dies for cutting things out, especially using stitches or scallops! This time, I felt that stitches might get lost, so I just used the open scallop circle die for the matting of the image. The image is attached with foam tape for dimension and to give enough room behind for the crossing of the ribbons.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The rough almost burlap ribbon also just seemed "right" for this season and this image! However, the bow just didn't seem like it was quite enough, so I tied some thick thread around the ribbon behind the bow and let the ends hang out--this felt like it completed the card!<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I wanted to keep the interior message simple and not overly seasonal specific, so I chose this one from Paper Smooches which reads "sending warmth & happiness". I stamped this using Versafine Vintage Sepia.<br />
<br />
<br />
While this isn't he most exciting card ever, I really like the way it turned out! It feels vibrant and warm to me! Thanks for stopping by and of course, I hope to see you over at <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturda</a>y, as well!<br />

He went of the Kindergarten the other day, and as is so common, I'm pretty sure it was harder on me than it was on him!<br />
<br />
With his reading abilities expanding, he's started getting a kick out of puns and such, so I made this cute simple card for him for the First Day of School, and tucked it into his backpack for him to find when he got to school.<br />

This cute Mommy and Me Owl are from <a href="http://scrapndipity.com/shop/digital-stamps/animals/mommy-me-owl/" target="_blank">ScrapN Dipity Designs</a>. One of the things I like about using digital stamps is that you can print them at whatever size works best for your purpose. Never too big or too little!<br />
<br />
I colored the image with Copics, added Wink of Stella to the bellies, then fussy cut (since my SNC is still packed up). The base was sponged with Stampin Up inks, using Post-it tape to mask the ground/sky border. This was still too plain, so I went searching through my stamps and found some random little flower stamps, and drew in the stems, as well as the grass.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set that I was recently gifted and seemed perfect to get a chuckle out of my silly little boy. The sentiment was actually in one line, but I cut it to be two; it was stamped with Versafine Black and heat embossed with clear powder.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYgjKSaPfCDWcM-3DLwegFEC8lFMOa9kAl5-47ChbY6yMqf8hQcx-QkeVU9Q5Cyz6JG-faHgHRd-GCRO1vLsXJrxNpxumhMUk5ILzONlv4Cbj7J6bLyxsPRnbZaT3fjL1fdSvYYMcriNY/s1600/IMG_2642.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="1600" height="247" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYgjKSaPfCDWcM-3DLwegFEC8lFMOa9kAl5-47ChbY6yMqf8hQcx-QkeVU9Q5Cyz6JG-faHgHRd-GCRO1vLsXJrxNpxumhMUk5ILzONlv4Cbj7J6bLyxsPRnbZaT3fjL1fdSvYYMcriNY/s320/IMG_2642.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
Since I wanted this to be a very specific card, I printed the interior message on my computer, using the Hobby Lobby Heavy Weight white card stock. (I find this is to lighter than the Recollections Heavy, and perfect for card bases).<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, I did have a little problem with my Multi-Media Matte glue, and ended up with some blotches on the card base. I was so frustrated. But I knew it was for a child, and I was running out of time! So I added a few sequins to cover the worst of the blotches, and went with it. :-) Thank you for checking it out, and please visit the <a href="http://scrapndipity.com/blog/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday Blog</a> as well!<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The design for <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday</a> was pretty straight forward and this image from our Sponsor <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/JustMEdigitalstamps" target="_blank">Just Me Digital Stamps</a>, which included the little sentiment, lent itself perfectly.</div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
I colored the image with my Copics, using a N5, N4, then a little of N3 for the lighter spots on her tail, and C7 (because I didn't have a darker N) for the darkest shadows. I added just a bit of shading to the white sections using N0. The envelope was colored with BG15 & BG13--then some Wink of Stella over the top to add some GLITTER! The little heart was colored with V17, then topped with Accent Essentials.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQMPI167K99Pnr5LjTY2qFLb3QzBsQacsAEM0MFdQCTjhiElt5whWKFXBCBb83BSLiE5Q_5gvAA3Jp243zybBDjn4KemMf79L9zbRQw_9No5Vk6rmHs4CCiK4SgnQp2Fj7Ty7r_OldrWg/s1600/Scent3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQMPI167K99Pnr5LjTY2qFLb3QzBsQacsAEM0MFdQCTjhiElt5whWKFXBCBb83BSLiE5Q_5gvAA3Jp243zybBDjn4KemMf79L9zbRQw_9No5Vk6rmHs4CCiK4SgnQp2Fj7Ty7r_OldrWg/s320/Scent3.jpg" width="240" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
I used my Wonky Stitched Rectangles from Gina Marie to cut the image, then layered with a dark purple. However, the plain white rectangle just looked TOO plain. so I did some soft Pool Party sponging around the edges.<br />
<br />
The Sentiment was printed on Recollections Card stock then matted on a dark teal to match the envelope. I do so love fish-tails!!<br />
<br />
I finished it off with some Glossy Accent drops in the corner.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I have been sick all week, and just ran out of time to do anything more. :-( But I know I have a stamp that says something like "to bring you cheer" that I can use on the inside--next week when I'm feeling better!<br />
<br />

I colored her with Copic Markers, adding some Wink of Stella to Rather than using this die to create a dimensional frame, I created an

I made this cute card for the <a href="http://scrapnchallenge.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">August Challenge at Scrap N' Dipity</a>. The challenge was simply "Anything Goes", so I was able to use this card that I'd made previously but hadn't had a chance to blog about yet.<br />
<br />

The image was colored using Copic markers. I then added Wink of Stella to the bee-wings. Topped the bee-wings and the honey-pot with Accent Essentials.<br />

<br />
The background was stenciled with Stampin Up Hello Honey--it seemed very appropriate! And a stencil that I got from Michaels--afraid I don't know the maker of that. All the ribbons are from my scrap-jar.<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
The inside was stamped with Versafine Black ink. "Be your Own Kind of Beautiful"<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
As a mother of boys, I just had to pick this adorable dragon and the scared knight image. But somehow that dragon seemed like she needed to be purple, pink, and teal--not very masculine! I colored the image using Copic Markers. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyImTBYeEbjRN2-PUuJRCnJQiLxpQmli1OQKGJlj_p6nyEY47_JUlRUGQsFGpEmZ1jlAdPv1MNDtrKWrYO2uxF2iRLx03iDJK5b8DiS6wpO20fMDZ9W_BOfcGvpxjwPIeGnxH6PLx5ns0/s1600/IMG_2528+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="872" data-original-width="1600" height="217" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyImTBYeEbjRN2-PUuJRCnJQiLxpQmli1OQKGJlj_p6nyEY47_JUlRUGQsFGpEmZ1jlAdPv1MNDtrKWrYO2uxF2iRLx03iDJK5b8DiS6wpO20fMDZ9W_BOfcGvpxjwPIeGnxH6PLx5ns0/s400/IMG_2528+%25282%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

I did my best to move it around to the other metal bits, so it doesn't seem too bad.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIqxt3ftFsxpBTRzO2BiOONPKY-Vx4qXNu5PtSelDBMuYGgBiALffwOLj8CgDr1XZ4oSr6CJnca-wVXSs45q0gSM1ySI9RLs892C7AemlAJad-3Qw751hanKnyT9SDcC9dB0Vs9Prmc5k/s1600/IMG_2530.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1567" data-original-width="1600" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIqxt3ftFsxpBTRzO2BiOONPKY-Vx4qXNu5PtSelDBMuYGgBiALffwOLj8CgDr1XZ4oSr6CJnca-wVXSs45q0gSM1ySI9RLs892C7AemlAJad-3Qw751hanKnyT9SDcC9dB0Vs9Prmc5k/s320/IMG_2530.JPG" width="320" /></a> I had wanted to use some Spectrum Glitter on the dragon, but those are
still packed away, so I just used a gel pen to add in some details on
her scales. Again, had a little bit of technical difficulties, but I think it will still work!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I didn't like the look of just covering the dragon's tail, or of having the "hill" below the tail...so I used an Exact-o blade to cut the lowest part of the dragon's tail, as well as the stick, so they could lay on top of the green hill. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0rC49yowtuS9hqTx4H7H4ycMQtx_hJzAofb9GKB9njS-jlha4CIWiBorpJ8XgbI_YC3pya1qkpKmHqeG9sZPrJRb7_t0r13wNAua1UJqrzdjz7J4FUzcVkD5rmuaPAbgoFDouXJmCdGU/s1600/IMG_2525.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0rC49yowtuS9hqTx4H7H4ycMQtx_hJzAofb9GKB9njS-jlha4CIWiBorpJ8XgbI_YC3pya1qkpKmHqeG9sZPrJRb7_t0r13wNAua1UJqrzdjz7J4FUzcVkD5rmuaPAbgoFDouXJmCdGU/s320/IMG_2525.JPG" width="240" /></a>I decided that I wanted to ink in some green grass and blue for the sky, so I had to mask the images. Cutting the masks was a pain in the butt! LOL I recently learned about <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FVPXAM4/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1I6KFSIR6Z7U9" target="_blank">Moloto Masking Pens</a>, which would've made it a LOT easier, but didn't have time to get one before this project, so I just used Post it Tape. Then Stampin Up inks for the shading.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The sentiment is from a retired Stampin up set that just seemed perfect for this fearful knight! Finally, I added some green sprigs to add some interest to the grassy area.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
